Tokyo

Tokyo hay que verlo para creerlo. Te pueden haber hablado de la ciudad, haberla visitado simuladamente, haberla visto en fotografías, haber leído acerca de la misma, pero hasta que no estás dentro, rodeado, sumergido, o mejor, literalemente encapsulado, uno no es capaz de entender (permitirme la expresión) como es posible su existencia, su organización, sus contrastes, y si éstos son de este planeta, o del vecino.

Quizá sea gracias a los futuristas neones o a las tradicionales linternas que alumbran cada esquina de la ciudad como uno alcanza la iluminación necesaria para afrontar semejante tarea. El caso es que una vez allí uno lo ve claro, lo entiende y hasta lo disfruta, pero uno vez fuera, la cosa cambia. Es como viajar en el tiempo y también en el espacio, pero paradójicamente en un mismo sitio y al mismo tiempo. En definitva, Tokyo es Tokyo, y no hay ningún sitio que se le parezca, al menos que yo haya visto.

Tokyo

Tokyo must be seen to be believed. You may have talked about the city, have visited through simulators, have seen in photographs, have readed about it, but until you're inside, surrounded, immersed, or better, literally encapsulated, one is unable to understand (allow me the expression) how is possible its existence, its organization, its contrasts, and whether they are coming from this planet, or from a neighbour one.

Perhaps thanks to the futuristic neon-lights or the traditional lanterns that light every corner of the city as one reaches the illumination needed to tackle such a task. The fact is that once there you see a clear, and even it´s easy to understand and have fun out of it, but once you are here, things changed. It´s like travelling though the time and the space, but all in the same place and time. In short, Tokyo is Tokyo, and there´s anywhere comparable to it, at least, that I´ve seen.
