Lago Inle

Situado en el estado Shan, un vasto territorio fronterizo con Laos y Tailandia, donde habitan escondidos entre las montañas grupos rebeldes, narcotraficantes y señores de la guerra, se encuentra el idílico lago Inle. Sobre sus cristalinas aguas se asientan decenas de aldeas, así como hermosos jardines flotantes entre los que los habitantes del lago salen a flote en perfecto equilibrio. Éstos le deben casi todo al lago, donde recogen indistintamente materias primas para construir sus casas, sus barcas, sus herramientas, para confeccionar sus prendas o sus complementos o simplemente para alimentarse. Probablemente uno de los lugares más bellos y relajantes que he visitado nunca.

Located in the Shan state, a vast territory border with Laos and Thailand, where there are hidden among the mountains rebel groups, drug dealers and warlords, is the idyllic Lake Inle. Above its crystalline waters are settled dozens of villages and floating gardens among the inhabitants of the lake who keep their lives afloat with an extraordinary balance. They owe almost everything to the lake where they collect indiscriminately materials to build their houses, their boats, their tools, to make garments or accessories or just to eat. Probably one of the most beautiful and relaxing places I have ever visited.
